The Kentucky Homeownership Protection Center provides a centralized location for information on public services to assist Kentuckians in keeping their homes.   

Homeowners can find information on the foreclosure process, utility assistance and home repair assistance to make smart choices and avoid losing their homes. 

If you are currently delinquent on your home loan, in danger of becoming delinquent or are just starting to have financial problems that may affect your ability to pay your mortgage, do not risk losing your home.  Options are available.

The Family Support program works with families who are in need of emergency assistance. The program primarily serves Campbell County, however, residents of Kenton, Boone, Grant, Pendleton, Carroll, Owen, and Gallatin Counties are also assisted. The Family Support Program offers the following types of assistance: food, clothing, rent, deposit, housing searches, tenant/landlord rights, transportation, cleaning supplies, utilities, prescriptions, household items, personal items, diapers, furniture, baby items, USDA commodities, SHARE, and referrals to other agencies.

 

YOUTH SERVICES: Youth services promote positive youth development and provide an array of services for at-risk youth and their families. Youth Services programs are funded by

United Way
, State, Federal And private funding services.

Programs provided through the Youth Services include:

¨      The 24-hour Homeward Bound Shelter: provides a safe environment & residential treatment for youth 11-17.

¨      Family Preservation/Reunification and FACTS programs: provide in-home services to youth and families dealing with crisis.

¨      Project

Safe Place
: utilizes trained volunteers to provide a safe environment at local businesses and community sites for youth in crisis.

¨      Youth Empowerment Strategies (YES): a prevention program that works with 4th graders and their families to promote the importance of education and community involvement.

¨      Alternatives to Detention: provides in-home and referral services for youth and families in lieu of detention

¨      Passages: provides in-home services and case planning for children and youth to facilitate permanency placement.

W.I.A. Job-Seekers Assistance Program: Provides assistance to adults who are seeking self-sufficient employment. Individual services may include assessment, assistance with resume writing and interviewing skills, career counseling, and job search assistance. W.I.A. Youth Services:  A year-round employment program for youth ages 14-21. Services include job search assistance, tutoring, study skills, leadership development, and supportive services. call 283-1885.

DCBS: Provide assistance with food stamps, Medicaid, KCHIP, KTAP, KY WORKS, and ETP.

The Williamstown Head Start/Preschool Program provides educational services for children 3 and 4 years of age and residing in Grant County.

The federally funded Head Start program serves families meeting income poverty guidelines.  Income eligible four year old children and children identified with a qualifying disability/delay are served first, with income eligible three year old children being places as space becomes available.  Other eligibility considerations include that are in foster care, families receiving SSI and families receiving KTAP/certain childcare subsidy.  The state funded Preschool income guidelines are the same as those of the Federal Free Lunch Program.

The eligibility requirements for each program vary. 

Williamstown Head Start has five centers that are housed in each elementary school located in the Grant county and Williamstown School Districts.  Students are placed in classrooms according to residence and district boundaries.  Students are in class Monday-Thursday for 3.5 hours a day.  Our curriculum addresses the needs of the whole child: Social-Emotional, Intellectual, Physical, Language, and Health.  All students receive lunch during their time at school and transportation services are provided to most areas.  The office is located behind the Williamstown Independent School Campus.

4-H is the largest youth organization in the world for youth ages 9-19.

The purpose of 4-H is to promote the development of youth into productive, self-directing and contributing members of society.  This is accomplished through informal education programs, activities and projects led by volunteers and professional educators.  Youth may choose to participate in projects and activities from caring for animals, to giving speeches, going to camp, participating in crafts and much more.
